2. License Grant and Permitted Use
Subject to your compliance with these terms:
- We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run Video2Anki on personal devices solely for your private, educational, and personal study workflows.
- You may use Video2Anki to generate flashcards and spaced repetition study files for your personal deck collections.
- Unless explicitly authorized in writing, you may not sublicense, resell, lease, or commercially distribute the application binaries.
3. User Responsibility for Content and Copyright
You represent and confirm that:
- You possess all necessary legal permissions or statutory exemptions to create personal study clips from the media files you handle.
- You will not use Video2Anki to pirate or unlawfully distribute third party copyrighted works.
- Video2Anki does not provide, host, or curate any copyrighted movies, television broadcasts, or commercial music recordings. It functions strictly as a client-side study tool.
4. Third Party Ecosystems and Trademarks
Video2Anki is an independent software application and is not affiliated, endorsed, or sponsored by Anki or Ankitects Pty Ltd. Anki is a registered trademark of its respective owner.
Any open-source components utilized by the software remain governed by their respective standard licenses. Applicable software notices can be viewed directly within the application interface.
Access to optional cloud speech recognition and translation services is provided under our service availability and fair usage policies.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Video2Anki is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a specific purpose, or defect-free performance.
We do not guarantee that operation will be completely uninterrupted or that automated speech recognition and language translations will be accurate in all cases.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the authors, developers, and distributors of Video2Anki shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use the software.
7. Revisions and Updates
We may revise these terms when necessary by updating this page with the effective revision date. Continued use of Video2Anki following such updates constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
